Mid-Century Modern Before and After

Before

Nothing shows how good design can transform a space like a before and after. My client purchased this home with plans to renovate, use a short-term rental for a time, then sell when the market was right. The flip was focused on a design that would suit the masses. Along with an interior decor that would showcase the homes best assets without breaking the bank.

I was called in to do a full decor installation. This is one of my favorite ways to work. It's easy to create a cohesive look when I get to design from top to bottom, and I get to consult on where to spend the budget to get a high-quality look without the price tag.

After

This home was dingy and dated when this client first purchased it. Because of that, the client wanted a fresh and clean canvas. The client and I landed on white walls to both give a minimalist feel and show off the endless ceiling height. We used the homes age and mid-century angles to our advantage when making decor choices. Mid-century lines and abstract art flow with the style of the house without getting too style specific to offput buyers. With narrow arms and rounded legs, mid-century furniture is generally smaller in scale, so it will create a feel of a larger space, by not overfilling each room.

Honorable mentions: tall curtains and more plants were added after the photos were taken to add even more height and color to the space. Both of which I highly recommend adding to any space that feels like it is missing a final touch.
